Manchester United lower midfielder asking price amid Donny van de Beek exit rumours
Manchester United have lowered their asking price for Fred and to sell Donny van de Beek as Erik ten Hag looks to bring in new faces for the position.
Manchester United are now looking to sell Fred for £12.9 million, after initially asking for a fee of £17.2m.
This is according to transfer journalist Alfredo Pedulla, who claims that United have lowered their asking price for the Brazilian – it is well documented that Turkish club Galatasaray are showing interest.

Erik ten Hag is said to be keen to bring in Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, with the Dutch manager having previously worked with him during their time at FC Utrecht.
Meanwhile, the club have had their first approach for Donny van de Beek after the player was listed on the transfer market.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Spanish side Real Sociedad have made the first formal contact with the Red Devils to sign the player, although the terms of the deal will heavily weigh on the demands United set.
Van de Beek has already been in contact with the club, and as the Spanish side have opened negotiations for the midfielder, it can be assumed that he would not be against the move.
United will likely need to shift on either one or both of Fred and Van de Beek before they can make their move on Amrabat, who is keen on rejoining Erik ten Hag.
The club being willing to lower their price for Fred and to enter negotiations for Van de Beek is a sign that they are ready to move onto securing the signature of Amrabat after a fee was agreed for the transfer of Rasmus Højlund.
