Manchester United have received an injury boost at centre-back as the latest behind the Matthijs de Ligt deal has been provided.

The Reds faced concerns last time out against Arsenal after both Leny Yoro and Rasmus Højlund were replaced early due to injury.

Yoro’s issue is believed to be more serious, and Erik ten Hag is reportedly worried about missing the new defender for an extended period. Further updates are expected in the coming days.

On the other hand, United have welcomed back Victor Lindelöf to team training after an injury issue kept him out of the opening three pre-season fixtures.

The Swede will be in contention to play against Real Betis and Liverpool in the two remaining games of the US tour.

United will then return to England to prepare for the Community Shield against Manchester City before the start of the Premier League campaign.

Meanwhile, according to Sky Sports, talks remain open over Matthijs de Ligt, but United still need to create squad space and budget through sales.

It was claimed that Lindelof could be key to that—he is entering the final year of his contract and has been linked to an exit.

While many are claiming that United must go into the market following concerns over Leny Yoro’s injury, it was further clarified that their next centre-back move will still depend on departures.

Finally, the report concluded that Bayern Munich still want to sell De Ligt despite Hiroki Ito suffering an injury for around two to three months.
