Manchester United expected squad vs Tottenham as defender returns to training
Manchester United have seen a defender return to training as their expected squad for the tie against Tottenham is revealed.
Following a disappointing 1-1 draw against FC Twente in the Europa League, Manchester United are returning to Premier League action with a clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag‘s side has had a tough start to the league season, managing only two wins in their first five matches and scoring just five goals.

Tottenham have faced their own struggles, also winning two of their opening five games. They are currently level on points with United at seven but have a slight advantage due to a better goal difference.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Ten Hag confirmed that the squad to face Tottenham would likely be the same one that drew to FC Twente on Wednesday.
“No, I don’t think so. It will be the same squad as yesterday [Wednesday],” he told reporters when asked if there would be any additions.
“I think it will be a very intense game. It always is against Tottenham and I think it is also our style as well. So I think it is going to be a very dynamic, attractive game.”
However, Victor Lindelöf has now returned to training after suffering an injury in pre-season.
While Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, and Lisandro Martínez have been building their fitness, Lindelöf would be a welcome option alongside Jonny Evans as a back-up centre-back for the upcoming games.
Goalkeepers: André Onana, Altay Bayındır, Tom Heaton.
Defenders: Noussiar Mazraoui, Hary Maguire, Lisandro Martínez, Diogo Dalot, Matthijs de Ligt.
Midfielders: Manuel Ugarte, Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, Casemiro, Mason Mount, Toby Collyer.
