Manchester United confirm Erik ten Hag XI to face Aston Villa (Premier League)

Manchester United have confirmed Erik ten Hag’s XI to face Aston Villa as Unai Emery visits Old Trafford in the Premier League.

Last time out in the competition, Manchester United fell to a 2-0 defeat against West Ham at the London Stadium, slipping to eighth in the Premier League table.

Erik ten Hag handed Willy Kambwala his professional debut in the tie, but the player has been relegated back to the bench as Raphaël Varane returns to the starting XI after illness.

“They are in very good form and are a very good team,” Ten Hag said about Aston Villa ahead of the game.

“So we have first come to that point, but if you are creating the chances, you have to take them if you want to win the game because otherwise you don’t win games. That’s clear.”
