Manchester United becoming “seriously interested” in Dusan Vlahovic as bargain price tag revealed

Manchester United are becoming “seriously interested” in a summer move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as his bargain transfer price is revealed.

It seems like the Manchester United are not taking any chances when it comes to the transfer window. They are considering multiple options on every front of the squad for the forthcoming season.

Since the arrival of the Portuguese manager in the club, there have been multiple problems in hands. From subpar performances to injury concerns, the gaffer could not catch a break.

However, it seems like the 20-time League Champions are set to change their fortune next season as the representatives are already busy with transfers.

While internal talks with Liam Delap and strong interest on Victor Oshimen indeed been looked at as progress, the Red Devils seem to be eager to take their chances on a Serie A star.

United are monitoring Vlahovic

According to a new report from CaughtOffside, Manchester United have become “seriously interested” in signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic this summer.

Vlahovic has 14 goals across all competitions this season, but with his contract expiring next summer and Juventus unlikely to offer him fresh terms, they want to sell him this summer.

United are not the only club linked with a genuine interest in the player, with Arsenal and Chelsea both in the mix and European sides such as Barcelona and Bayern Munich adding him to their shopping lists, too.

Due to his contract situation, Juventus would be demanding around £45 million for his signature this summer. However, Premier League sides are expected to table an offer of around £39 million in the coming months, which is a bargain for a 25-year-old striker with 107 career goals to his name.

This news comes amid United losing Joshua Zirkzee to a hamstring injury against Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon, with Amorim confirming that the striker will miss multiple games and is currently unsure of his return date.

Højlund heading the other way?

On the other hand, the Bianconeris are also keen on Rasmus Hoijlund as a potential loan move for their Club World Cup campaign.

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have upped their interest in the Danish forward. They are looking for a low-cost loan deal to help their squad for the Club World Cup that starts in two months.

United would much rather retain Joshua Zirkzee between the two forwards in the squad. With the strong interest from the Serie A giants, the Red Devils can potentially leverage the interest for themselves while they try to move with Serbian Vlahovic.

Amorim’s club are said to have informed Juventus that they will demand a transfer fee of around £52 million this summer should they entertain offers to part ways with Højlund.
