Manchester United transfer target confirms he will NOT sign this summer, explains why
One of Manchester United’s reported summer targets has confirmed that he will not be leaving his club this summer, explaining he is happy where he is.
Manchester United are on the hunt for new centre-backs after a difficult season where Erik ten Hag‘s squad conceded over 80 goals and faced a significant injury crisis.
Raphaël Varane, Lisandro Martínez, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelöf, and Jonny Evans all missed extensive time due to injuries. This has prompted the club to seek new talent, and several of these players are likely to leave.

Jarrad Branthwaite has been the most frequently linked player to United this window. The club made a £35 million offer to Everton, plus £8 million in add-ons, which was rejected.
After this, United have seemingly moved on to Matthijs de Ligt and settled on signing the 24-year-old Dutch international – but before this, another man on their list was Gleison Bremer.
UtdDistrict understands that the Brazilian defender from Juventus was on United’s list as a serious contender to sign as a centre-back this summer, but the 27-year-old has now ruled himself out of leaving the Serie A side this summer.
Speaking to AS about a possible move to Old Trafford, he said: “I am flattered by the interest of some top clubs, but I am already in a great team like Juventus. I am very focused on the Copa America,’ Bremer said when asked about his future while on Brazil duty.
“I have many goals. I want to play one or two World Cups, and I want to continue fighting for important titles in Europe.”
Bremer added: “I feel very good about everything I have done in recent seasons.
“Little by little we are helping Juventus to return to being an elite team and to fight for major goals.
“I really hope that next season will be a season of great joy for all of us, the players and fans.”
