Premier League club eyeing Manchester United academy graduate in potential £30m move
One Premier League club are eyeing a move for Manchester United academy graduate Scott McTominay, with the player available for transfer this summer.
Scott McTominay‘s 2023/24 season at Manchester United was by far his most productive season on an individual level, with the midfielder grabbing 10 goals under Erik ten Hag.
McTominay has proven himself to be a utility player since Jose Mourinho handed the now-Scottish international his debut back in 2017. Every manager since has found uses for the 27-year-old during his seven-year stint with the first team.

However, 2023/24 is shaping up to be his final one in a United shirt, with UtdDistrict understanding that the club are 100 per cent open to selling McTominay during this summer window.
McTominay was close to leaving Old Trafford in 2023 after a £30 million fee with West Ham was all but agreed; however, the transfer eventually fell through, and he stayed on at the club for a further season.
But with INEOS needing to raise funds in order to bring in fresh blood into the squad, McTominay is gathering interest from the Premier League.
According to GiveMeSport, Fulham are now hoping to agree a deal with United to sign McTominay this summer. Although McTominay’s current deal is set to expire next summer, United have the option to extend it by a further year, and his stellar season at United will mean his value will likely still be at £30 million.
Any fee United would receive for McTominay would register on their books as pure profit as he was a graduate of their academy, which greatly helps the club with respect to avoiding profit and sustainability penalties.
Dan Ashworth is set to start his position as football director at the club immediately after an agreement was reached between United and Newcastle to end his gardening leave. It is likely that the futures of many players will become clearer now that he is in place.
