One of Manchester United’s transfer targets was left out of their squad on the weekend amid a claim about his “almost guaranteed” exit.

Manchester United are in the market for attacking reinforcements as Rúben Amorim’s team continue to struggle with scoring consistency.

United have rarely managed to score more than a single goal in games this season, with their home form at Old Trafford drawing particular criticism. The lack of cutting edge in front of goal has become a growing concern.

The futures of key attackers like Joshua Zirkzee, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho remain uncertain amid ongoing transfer speculation. This has only heightened the urgency for United to bolster their attacking options ahead of the summer transfer window.

Despite operating within tight financial constraints, Amorim is expected to urge the club’s hierarchy to prioritise investment in fresh attacking talent to address the team’s struggles in front of goal.

Kolo-Muani left out of PSG squad

Multiple reports have indicated that United are interested in Paris St. Germain forward Randal Kolo-Muani amid their need for a fresh attacking threat.

It’s been stated by The Athletic that the club are keen on the 26-year-old because of his versatility in attack, with United needing additions that will be able to both create chances as well as finish them.

In a fresh boost, Kolo-Muani was left out of the Ligue 1 side’s 2-1 win over St. Etienne on Sunday evening with no apparent injury concerns, suggesting it was purely a selection decision with manager Luis Enrique preparing for life without the Frenchman.

Garnacho is being subjected to intense interest from Napoli, and should the young winger depart, attacking reinforcements will become even more necessary.

Kolo-Muani “almost guaranteed” to leave PSG in January

Amid a report from Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano explaining that the French international “almost guaranteed” to leave PSG this month, United are intensifying their interest.

According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, United’s efforts to sign the players are becoming “more concrete” with the club now determined to do everything they can to bring him to Old Trafford in January.

Recently, there have been talks between United and Kolo-Muani’s management team, and negotiations between the two clubs are expected to follow.

It’s said that United are considering a six-month loan deal with an option to buy the summer, although they are not the only team eyeing the player.

Chelsea, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Juventus, and AC Milan have all been credited with interest.
