Getafe may get exactly what they want from Mason Greenwood, Manchester United in trouble
Getafe may be able to secure exactly what they want with respect to Mason Greenwood, with Manchester United in trouble of not being able to sell the forward this summer.
It has been reiterated multiple times that Mason Greenwood is Manchester United‘s No. 1 sale priority this summer, with INEOS wanting to raise funds for new incomings.
United are said to value Greenwood between £35-40 million, and his consistently good performances at Getafe have triggered a lot of interest around Europe, including at the La Liga club he has been with on loan.

Speaking recently, Getafe president Angel Torres admitted last week that they wanted to keep Greenwood if possible.
“We have 15 in the squad plus Greenwood, who we hope to give good news about soon and I hope will stay another year,” he said.
“As the press says, there are many offers, and we will abide by what Manchester United say. It looks like he will continue for another year. Every day that passes, there are more possibilities, but you have to be cautious.”
United want Greenwood to leave the club permanently, but this is proving difficult. Although Greenwood is attracting interest from many clubs, the owners of some of these, such as Juventus, have vetoed a move.
According to reports, due to Greenwood’s “troubled past”, Juventus chiefs are not keen on signing him. This is despite football director Cristiano Giuntoli being a huge admirer of the 22-year-old.
The Athletic have reported that if no club meets the asking price for Greenwood, Getafe are keen to take him on loan for a further season. If other clubs act the same way Juventus have, they may get exactly what they want, and United could be in danger of raising no cash from his sale.
Lazio have also shown interest but submitted an offer of £17 million plus 50% of any future sale, which is well below the club’s asking price this summer.
