Manchester United reject opening Mason Greenwood offer amid Juventus U-turn
Manchester United have now seemingly rejected an opening offer for Mason Greenwood following a transfer U-turn from Juventus.
Manchester United are looking to offload Mason Greenwood this summer as a No. 1 priority, with the club needing a cash injection to start signing new players.
INEOS want to sign several new stars this summer, with centre-back and striker the current priorities at the club, but in order to do so, they must sell players for good money and fast.

Greenwood is United’s most valuable sellable asset, with the player never to set foot in Old Trafford again. However, fantastic performances for Getafe while on loan in La Liga this season have left the player in high demand.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Serie A side Lazio have entered talks with United surrounding the 22-year-old forward. This is not the first time they have been interested in the Englishman, having attempted to land him on loan last summer as well.
The report explains that the Biancocelesti have already offered a transfer fee of £17 million plus 50% of any future sale, but this deal has been swiftly rejected. United want around £35-40 million.
This news comes after Juventus have seemingly performed a huge U-turn in their pursuit of Greenwood.
It is said that the club’s owners have vetoed a move for Greenwood despite Juventus football director Cristiano Giuntoli’s huge admiration for the winger.
It is reported that due to Greenwood’s “troubled past”, the Juventus hierarchy are not keen on signing him.
The article further claims that following the “ugly row” that “tarnished” the player’s image, the Old Lady do not want to be associated with him—something the club’s fans have also made clear.
