Barcelona have completely ignored Manchester United with their latest transfer move
Barcelona have completely ignored Manchester United as they make their latest transfer move for Kobbie Mainoo this summer.
Kobbie Mainoo is one of three reported “untouchables” this summer as Manchester United commence a huge summer clearout at Old Trafford.
Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood are both expected to depart from United this summer, with names such as Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and Scott McTominay likely to follow.

Reports from earlier this year stated that every player at United has a price tag part from three, with only Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Højlund, and Mainoo considered “untouchable” by those higher at INEOS.
However, Barcelona have seemingly ignored that and is reportedly engaging in a hail-mary attempt to sign the latter this summer.
According to Sacha Tavolieri, United’s latest academy star has new-found admirers at the Catalan club, with Barcelona targeting a potential move this summer.

It is claimed that, with United aware of Barcelona’s interest, they are engaging in talks with Mainoo over a new contract. Although his current deal runs until 2027, United are aware that his significant contributions to the team warrant better terms.
A higher wage will also increase his value at United. The player is already among the club’s most valuable assets, alongside Garnacho and Fernandes.
It is pretty obvious that Barcelona will not be able to sign Mainoo. As a boyhood United fan, all he wants is to succeed with his favourite club—a move away is currently completely out of the question.
After lifting the FA Cup trophy and scoring in the final during his first full season with the first-team squad, there is no doubt that he will be hungry for further success at Old Trafford.
