“Seriously pushing…” – Agent to hold ‘meeting’ with Manchester United staff ahead of January window

According to reports from Italy, Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee’s agent is set for showdown talks with the club ahead of the January transfer window.

Manchester United are planning ahead for the 2025 transfer windows as Rúben Amorim continues to evaluate his squad at Old Trafford.

The highlight of Amorim’s tenure so far came in a thrilling victory over Manchester City, where late goals from Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo delivered a crucial Premier League win over their fiercest rivals.

To fund new signings, United are likely to offload some big-name players in the coming months. One such player is Marcus Rashford, with the club reportedly prepared to accept offers of around £40 million during the summer window.

Despite the expected departures, United are determined to strengthen, with plans to bring in up to five first-team players across 2025, including reinforcements in attack, midfield, and defence.

Zirkzee’s showdown talks

According to Italian outlet TuttoSport, Joshua Zirkzee’s agent Kia Joorabchian is set for talks with United to help understand his clients role in the coming months ahead of the January trnsnfer window.

Since he signed for United from Bologna in July 2024, Zirkzee has failed to hit the ground running at Old Trafford, having scored just three goals in 23 appearances for the Red Devils.

Sport Witness say the Italian newspaper are “seriously pushing” the story that Zirkzee is destined for a return to the Serie A, with his former manager Thiago Motta now at the helm in Turin.

TuttoSport state that Motta would welcome him with open arms at the Italian side, with Juventus sporting director Cristiano Guintoli also holding Zirkzee in high regard.

Further, it’s stated that the upcoming fixtures against Tottenham Hotspur and Bournemouth, in the Carabao Cup and Premier League, respectively, could be decisive in determining Zirkzee’s future at United.
