Manchester United starlet ‘hands in transfer request’ after being told there’s an ‘exit door’
Manchester United starlet Hannibal Mejbri has reportedly handed in a transfer request as two clubs circle his potential signing this summer.
Hannibal Mejbri‘s career at Manchester United has not taken the trajectory many would have hoped following the player’s €10 million summer signing from AS Monaco in 2019.
Signing as part of a growing academy set-up, Mejbri has failed to make an impact at the club under Erik ten Hag, while the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo have shined.

Toby Collyer is now ahead of him in the pecking order, and his days at Old Trafford seem to be numbered as the club are open to offers this summer.
According to Buzz News Tunisia, Mejbri has now handed in a transfer request in the hope of sealing a move away from the club before the window closes on 30 August.
Both Rangers and Celtic have been credited with interest. Rangers were particularly impressed by Mejbri’s performance against them during a pre-season friendly last month.
This comes after club legend Andy Cole claimed there is an exit door for the player this summer.
“He’s a kid that’s had a taste of first-team football that naturally wants to play more and more,” Cole said earlier this month.
“At Sevilla, there was an option in his deal that would have allowed him to join them permanently, so it looks as if there’s an open door allowing him to move on.
“If he has the opportunity to move to either Celtic or Rangers, then why not? It’s that simple.
“He’s going to find it difficult to get into the Manchester United team, so it will be interesting to see if the club decides to move him on and either loan him out or try and get a decent transfer fee for him and then use that money to try and do some business elsewhere. It would be an interesting one.”
