Manchester United ‘make enquiry’ about £34m Premier League star, club not opposed to sale
Manchester United have reportedly made an enquiry about signing a Premier League star who would cost them £34 million, with his club not opposed to the sale.
Manchester United began the summer transfer window on a strong note, signing Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna for £36 million and securing 18-year-old centre-back Leny Yoro from Lille for £52 million.
The acquisition of Yoro has been particularly applauded, with United and INEOS earning praise for outmanoeuvring Real Madrid, signalling their ambitious intentions moving forward.

Following this, they then announced the double signing of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich following the sales of Mason Greenwood, Willy Kambwala, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and others.
The club is also focused on reinforcing their midfield and have been heavily linked with Paris St. Germain’s 23-year-old Manuel Ugarte, who many outlets have described as the club’s No. 1 target in the position.
However, fresh reports have now claimed that, with United potentially looking for cheaper alternatives to Ugarte, the club have become interested in a Premier League talent during the final weeks of the window.
According to TNTSports Brazil, Nottingham Forest star Danilo, who shone under Nuno Espirito Santo last season, is of interest to the Red Devils.
Danilo, who made 29 league appearances as they avoided relegation last season, joined the Premier League side for around £18 million in January 2023, but according to the report, Forest would not be opposed to a sale if United could match their £34 million asking price.
TNT journalist Rodrigo Fragoso claims that United have inquired about the 23-year-old but face competition from AC Milan.
There have been rumours that United may offload Scott McTOminay in the final weeks of the window, with new Napoli manager Antonio Conte making the Scottish international a priority in the position.
United want at least £25 million for the 27-year-old following a season where he scored 10 goals under Erik ten Hag, many of these crucial to the relative successes the club underwent last season.
