Manchester United have seemingly named their minimum price for Bruno Fernandes this summer with one of INEOS’ targets expected to leave.

Manchester United are looking for a new midfielder this summer, with Casemiro almost certainly set to depart from Old Trafford and others still potentially leaving the club.

While the future of Sofyan Amrabat is entirely unclear as there has been zero indication on whether or not United will activate their buy-option in his loan contract, Scott McTominay could also leave the club, being one of United’s most sellable assets.

With this in mind, United are looking for a strong, defensive-minded midfielder who will likely partner Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes in the first team next season.

According to the French outlet L’Equipe, via GFFN, United have turned their interest towards OGC Nice’s 23-year-old midfielder Khéphren Thuram as a target this summer.

Thuram is “expected to leave” the Ligue 1 side this summer with just one year remaining on his deal. INEOS, who also owns Nice and Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s partial share in United, have “expressed their interest” in bringing him to Old Trafford.

Thuram is said to have attracted interest from Juventus and AC Milan, too. His price tag is quoted at around £17-25 million, which represents a quality bargain for whoever ends up signing the Frenchman.

Meanwhile, The Guardian have seemingly named the minimum price that United would consider for Bruno Fernandes this summer.

The report explains that it would take at least a bid of £70 million for United to seriously consider an offer for the current club captain, but INEOS also rates him as the club’s “finest footballer”.

There is currently zero intention to sell Fernandes at Old Trafford, but he is thought to want an increase on his current £220,000-a-week deal that expires in 2026. This would put him in the top bracket of United’s earners, over the £300,000-a-week mark occupied by those such as Marcus Rashford and Casemiro.
