Man United make decision on first Ruud van Nistelrooy press conference as Ten Hag footage scrapped
Manchester United have made a decision on Ruud van Nistelrooy’s first press conference after Erik ten Hag’s final comments before his sacking have been scrapped.
Manchester United announced on Monday morning that Erik ten Hag has been dismissed as head coach following their 2-1 defeat to West Ham over the weekend.
Currently, United sit 14th in the Premier League and rank 21st in the Europa League following a dreadful start to the season under the Dutchman.

Former striker and current assistant coach Ruud van Nistelrooy has been appointed as interim manager, while the club begins its search for a permanent replacement, with names like Xavi Hernandez and Ruben Amorim reportedly in consideration.
Ten Hag, who had his contract extended until June 2026 this past summer, was informed of the decision on Monday prior to the public announcement.
Man United make press conference decision
According to the Daily Mail, Ten Hag had spoken to the media for his pre-Leicester City press conference on Sunday after the West Ham defeat but the footage will never be aired.
Manager press conference for midweek fixtures are regularly embargoed from the weekend but the final comments from the Dutchman as United boss will never see the light of day.
Ruud van Nistelrooy will be taking charge of the upcoming fixtures for the club but will not speak to the media ahead of the Carabao Cup clash, the aforementioned report added.
Instead, he will make his first comments to public media after full-time at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
Van Nistelrooy expected to make changes
This interim period will allow Van Nistelrooy to test things out as the main man in the dugout.
The interim coach could opt to use some of the talented youth at his disposal, with Harry Amass being a natural left-back who could come into the side.
Van Nistelrooy will be eager to make a positive impression during his first game in charge at Old Trafford this week.
