Manchester United are reportedly ready to launch an official offer for a January player who is guaranteed to leave his current club this month.

Manchester United are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements as Rúben Amorim’s side continue to falter in front of goal.

The season has been marked by a lack of scoring prowess, with United frequently managing just a single goal in matches. Their struggles at Old Trafford have been particularly glaring, further highlighting the need for attacking improvements.

With uncertainty surrounding the futures of Joshua Zirkzee, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho, United are under pressure to strengthen their front line during the summer transfer window.

Despite financial constraints at the club, Amorim is expected to push the board to prioritise investment in new attacking options, aiming to resolve the team’s ongoing issues in front of goal.

United “ready” to launch Kolo-Muani bid

According to TuttoJuve, United are now “ready” to launch an offer for Paris St. Germain forward Randal Kolo-Muani, with other reports stating that the deal will likely come as a loan with an option to buy should an agreement be struck.

The French international has been subject to intense interest across Europe this month, and after being left out of the Ligue 1 side’s latest squad, speculation has been fueled even further.

The report from Italy states that United are preparing their offer amid a “complicated” situation, with the “wonderful” player also close to potentially joining Juventus.

Borussia Dortmund have also been credited with holding an eye for the 26-year-old, meaning that although multiple clubs are gunning for the player, there is no clear resolution for where he will end up.

Juventus are said to be the closest to securing him, but should Amorim’s club choose to step up their efforts and Rashford depart this month, the landscape of the transfer could change.

Kolo-Mauni guaranteed to leave PSG

The reason for the intense interest surrounding the former Eintracht Frankfurt player is that PSG are happy to see him depart as he does not factor into manger Luis Enrique’s plans.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Kolo-Muani’s exit has been pretty much guaranteed since December, with Enrique not counting on the player, much like the situation of centre-back Milan Skriniar.

Kolo-Muani attracts United because the club appreciate his versatility across the front line, which will benefit Amorim’s side after inconsistent spells in front of goal.

Further, with both Antony and Rashford potentially departing, the club will be even further depleted in their attack, and with the attacker having played in a similar 3-4-3 system under Oliver Glasner at Frankfurt, he would be able to adjust to the new tactics at Old Trafford with relative ease.
