Third new Manchester United coach arrives after Ruud van Nistelrooy and Rene Hake
Erik ten Hag’s new coaching staff have arrived at Manchester United’s training facility for the opening day of the 2024 pre-season training.
Many of Manchester United‘s players are set to return to the club on Monday morning as pre-season training before the 2024/25 campaign gets underway.
Erik ten Hag‘s men failed to live up to expectations during 2023/24, so the club are looking to start the new season fresh and ready in the Premier League and Europa League after their FA Cup final win in May.

In addition to the players arriving, Carrington will also see three fresh faces as the club lines up its coaching staff under Ten Hag.
It has been widely reported that former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy and former Go Ahead Eagles manager Rene Hake will join the Dutchman’s coaching staff, but a third new name has also been revealed.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Jelle ten Rouwelaar, former goalkeeping coach at Burnley for the past two seasons, has been recruited by the Red Devils from Ajax after initially joining the Dutch side in the summer.
United are said to want a new coaching model similar to Manchester City’s, where Pep Guardiola is supported by a wide-ranging, experienced backroom staff.
Both Van Nistelrooy and Hake have experience managing a first team, with the former being an interim at PSV and in the running to take over at Burnley and the latter having managed multiple sides in the same division.
Those such as Mason Mount, Amad Diallo, and Harry Maguire, who spent the season away from football and not on international duty, are expected to be back at Carrington on Monday morning.
Others who have been competing for their countries, such as Ramsus Højlund, Scott McTominay, and Kobbie Mainoo, are expected to return after being granted three weeks’ holiday.
