“Soon…” 63-goal Manchester United target drops major transfer hint with Instagram message

One of Manchester United’s reported summer transfer targets has dropped a hint on Instagram amid links to Rúben Amorim’s Old Trafford team.

Manchester United are gearing up for the 2025 transfer windows as Rúben Amorim grows more acquainted with his squad at Old Trafford.

Amorim’s most impressive result to date came in the dramatic win over Manchester City, where late strikes from Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo sealed a vital Premier League triumph against their bitter rivals.

The club are expected to part ways with some high-profile players in the months ahead to facilitate significant reinforcements. Among those potentially on the move is Marcus Rashford, with United reportedly willing to entertain offers in the region of £40 million this summer.

Despite these potential departures, United are aiming to bolster the squad with up to five new signings in 2025, focusing on strengthening their attack, midfield, and defence.

Cunha’s transfer message

Manchester United are looking for a new striker this coming summer. This is information that has been relayed by many outlets on multiple occasions, as well as a position that most fans agree must be filled.

However, who that striker is remains a mystery. United have been linked with several names in recent months, with Viktor Gyökeres and Victor Osimhen being two recurring names in headlines.

However, another name the side have been linked with, and are reportedly “monitoring” Brazilian striker Matheus Cunha, currently starring in the position at Wolves.

However, with Wolves in turmoil following the sacking of former manager Gary O’Neil, the former Atletico Madrid forward will likely be wanting to take his talents elsewhere, with United a realistic destination.

Cunha has also made his thoughts clear. On Instagram earlier this week, the 25-year-old released a photo of him holding the Wolves’ Player of the Month trophy, and as one account commented “Manchester United soon” on his post, he liked the message.

This, of course, has since fueled speculation that Cunha may see United as his ideal destination in the summer.

Having moved from La Liga to the Premier League, it’s unlikely that Cunha would want to return to the continent and away from what many see as the best league in the world, making United an almost perfect destination for him.

He has 63 goals so far in his career, having scored eight of these this season, impressing many with his performances in the league.

United need a new striker to compete with Rasmus Højlund and possibly Joshua Zirkzee this summer, and the 25-year-old fits the bill.
