Manchester United are expecting three players to return as Erik ten Hag selects his team to face Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday afternoon.

Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Antony, Scott McTominay, and Harry Maguire should all be fit to face Coventry City on Sunday afternoon in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium.

“Antony and Scott [McTominay], I expect them to be back,” he told reporters on Friday afternoon. Harry Maguire was a doubt, but the English centre-half has now rejoined training ahead of the game.

“We have some problems, Harry [Maguire] struggled with a small injury against Bournemouth. He didn’t train this week so far, but he’s now back on the pitch, and I think he’ll be available for Sunday.”

Elsewhere, Lisandro Martínez, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Raphaël Varane, and Victor Lindelöf all confirmed absentees, with no update on Jonny Evans since he missed the last two games against Liverpool and Bournemouth.

Academy trio Harry Amass, Habeeb Ogunneye, and Ethan Wheatley have all recently been given the chance to join Erik ten Hag’s first-team training sessions and matchday squads. The U18s team enjoyed a fantastic league title victory over Wolves on Sunday.

For Coventry, boss Mark Robins has provided a hopeful injury update for their fans, explaining that midfielder Jamie Allen, who has been out since early February, may be able to make the bench.

“Jamie is joining in today,” Robins said on Friday morning. “He’s been around it again this week and will be part of training today, so we’ll see. He may end up sneaking onto the bench.”

However, Coventry have also suffered a blow as playmaker Kasey Palmer will serve a suspension for picking up two yellow cards over the course of the competition. Long-term absentee Tatsuhiro Sakamoto will be in the stands at Wembley.

Striker Matty Godden has been out with injury but returned to the matchday squad against Birmingham City last weekend and is expected to be fit after a full week of training.
