Manchester United winger Antony has promised that though he is happy with his current level, and he will continue to work on improving his game.

With just four goal contributions in 33 matches this season, it has been an underwhelming second season in Manchester for the Brazillian forward.

Despite having a disappointing spell at United of late, Antony’s form has seen an impressive resurgence.

During United’s 4-3 FA Cup victory over Liverpool, Antony would score a vital goal off the bench. Then more recently, the Brazillian was one of United’s best players in their Premier League defeat to Chelsea by the same scoreline.

“I’m really happy with my form, I’ve worked very hard every day towards this,” Antony told MUTV.

“I’ve been working hard in training for months now, so I’m very pleased with my performances and I hope to improve with every game. I know that there is a lot that can be improved, and I’ve worked on this. I’m happy seeing my performances improve game by game.”

In the aforementioned Chelsea match, Antony produced one of the assists of the season, picking out Alejandro Garnacho.

Discussing both that assist as well as his goal against Liverpool, United’s No. 21 assured fans of the Red Devils there is more to come as he reveals the secret behind his good form is that he has been turning things around “for quite a while”.

“You can certainly expect a lot of these moments,” Antony stated. “As I said, my confidence is back through hard work. This [is] despite having gone through a lot, I’ve been through some very difficult moments.

“Today, I’m turning things around and have been for quite a while now. Importantly, I continue working regardless of the situation. I was delighted with the assist for Garnacho and you can definitely expect a lot of good things ahead.”

This Sunday, United will travel to Wembley for an FA Cup semi-final tie against Coventry City. If United win, they will reach consecutive FA Cup finals for the first time in nineteen years.

With United chasing a record-setting 22nd FA Cup final, Antony admitted that the Red Devils’ squad know how vital the competition is. “We know how important the FA Cup is, and it’s really important for us and the fans to win this trophy.

“We’re really grateful to the fans for their support at every game, they’re always behind us. We owe this trophy to them because they support us every day.”
