Ex-Manchester United defender identifies fourth ‘untouchable’ player amid INEOS mega-sale
Former Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre has identified a fourth untouchable player at Old Trafford amid INEOS’ latest transfer plans.
Monday afternoon reports laid bare a harsh reality for many Manchester United players: Sir Jim Ratcliffe‘s team will entertain reasonable offers for every single player in Erik ten Hag‘s squad this summer, save for three.
Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, and Rasmus Højlund are the lone exceptions deemed untouchable at Carrington. INEOS, the club’s owner, will rebuff all offers for these players, regardless of their value.

Since the news, many have speculated how much money each United player could go for this summer, with even those such as Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford seemingly up for sale at the right price.
This has come after United have endured a very poor season, siting sixth in the Premier League while out of the Champions League and Carabao Cup. The FA Cup final remains their only hope for glory this campaign, and former United defender Mikael Silvestre has spoken on the matter.
“It is hard to find positives for Man Utd this season,” Silvestre admitted to bettingexpert.com when asked if he could identify any.
“First of all, you have to find collective achievements, and right now, unless they beat City in the final, it’s going to be difficult. Let’s see where they end up in the league.”
However, Silvestre has identified Diogo Dalot as United’s “best player” this season alongside Garnacho, insinuating that he should be on INEOS’ untouchable list this summer.
“But for positives, you probably have to go to individual performances. Dalot’s season has been very consistent. He’s probably been the best player for the team along with Garnacho. Kobbie’s emergence has been very, very positive. Højlund finally scoring.”
“Very minimal positives, unfortunately.”
Recent reports have said that although Dalot would be considered for sale much like the rest of the squad, it would take a “mega offer” for the Portuguese international to depart from United this summer.
