Manchester United XI vs FC Twente: three changes expected as Rasmus Højlund returns
Manchester United are expected to see Rasmus Højlund return as Erik ten Hag selects his XI to face FC Twente in the Europa League.
Although Altay Bayındır took charge in goal against Barnsley last week, it is more likely that André Onana will keep his place in goal against Twente, with Erik ten Hag no doubt keen to kick off the competition with a winning start.
As Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia remain unavailable, Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui will continue as left-back and right-back, respectively.

In defence, however, Ten Hag may opt to swap out Matthijs de Ligt for Harry Maguire to keep the Dutch defender well-rested for the tie against Tottenham Hotspur on the weekend. Although Jonny Evans is available, Ten Hag will likely keep Lisandro Martínez in the side.
As for the midfield, the Twente fixture is the perfect game to reintroduce Manuel Ugarte into the XI to continue building the Uruguayan international’s fitness ahead of a busy winter schedule.
He will likely be joined by Kobbie Mainoo in midfield, with Christian Eriksen rested after playing four fixtures in a row. As usual, club captain Bruno Fernandes should start.
Mason Mount returned to the matchday squad when the side travelled to Selhurst Park, and although he is unlikely to start, he may be given minutes off the bench.
In attack, Marcus Rashford will likely return to the starting XI. Ten Hag is keen on rotation and may choose to drop Amad Diallo, a current first-team favourite for Premier League fixtures. This will give Alejandro Garnacho time on the right wing.
Rasmus Højlund may return up front to continue developing match fitness following his injury recovery. However, should he start, it is unlikely that he would play more than 60 minutes as he is not currently completely match-fit.
Man United expected XI
Onana, Mazraoui, Maguire, Martínez, Dalot, Ugarte, Mainoo, Fernandes, Garnacho, Højlund, Rashford.
