FA confirm officials for Manchester United vs Coventry City (FA Cup)
Manchester United are gearing up towards their most important game of the season as Erik ten Hag’s side take on Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-finals.
Erik ten Hag‘s side has suffered a poor second campaign. Manchester United have been been knocked out of the Champions League and Carabao Cup while sitting seventh in the Premier League table.
After four winless league matches in a row, the FA Cup represents United’s last chance for glory this season. They face Coventry City in the semi-finals at Wembley Stadium.

United have had a good run in the FA Cup so far, most recently beating Liverpool 4-3 in a thrilling quarter-final at Old Trafford, and have scored 11 goals across their four games in the tournament so far.
The FA have now confirmed who will officiate the tie on Sunday afternoon.
Confirmed officials
Robert Jones (pictured below) will referee Sunday afternoon at the Vitality Stadium. The experienced referee has overseen three United games this season.
Two were in the Premier League (a 1-0 loss against Newcastle and a 2-1 win over Aston Villa), and one was in the Carabao Cup—the 3-0 loss against Newcastle. More superstitious United fans may see this as a bad omen, with Jones the referee for United’s only other loss during knockout competition this season.
Ian Hussin and Neil Davies will be on the sidelines, acting as Jones’s assistant referees during the game. Thomas Bramall has been handed the fourth official job, separating Erik ten Hag and Mark Robins on Sunday.
Peter Bankes has been handed the video assistant referee job, with whom Nick Greenhalgh will assist. Michael Salisbury supports the VAR.
