The Premier League have confirmed who will referee at Old Trafford as Manchester United face Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester United is aiming to gain momentum ahead of the FA Cup final as they brace themselves to confront Burnley in the Premier League.

In their most recent match, Erik ten Hag‘s side displayed determination, rallying twice from behind to clinch a 4-2 triumph against Sheffield United at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.

With two goals and an assist from Bruno Fernandes in the second half, United secured all three points, elevating them to sixth place in the league table. The victory over Sheffield signifies just the second win for the club in their last eight league encounters.

Confirmed officials

John Brooks (pictured below) will referee Sunday afternoon at the Vitality Stadium. The experienced referee has overseen four United games this season, including what was probably the game of the season.

Three of these games have been in the Premier League, with two ending in victory. Brooks officiated United’s 1-0 win over Fulham away from home and the 3-0 win against Everton at Goodison Park. He also officiated the 2-2 draw with Tottenham at Old Trafford.

However, the famous game he took charge of was United’s brilliant 4-3 win against Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals earlier this season, where Amad Diallo scored a late winning goal. Amad will no doubt be hoping for more of the same luck as he meets Brooks on the field once again.

Lee Betts and Akil Howson will be on the sidelines, acting as Brooks’ assistant referees during the game. Simon Hooper has been handed the fourth official job, separating Erik ten Hag and Vincent Kompany on Saturday afternoon.

Peter Bankes has been handed the video assistant referee job, with whom Mat Wilkes will assist.
