Manchester United ‘react’ to “too good” Bruno Fernandes offer from Saudi Arabia
Manchester United and Erik ten Hag’s reaction to a potentially huge bid from Saudi Arabia for Bruno Fernandes has been revealed.
Despite an incredibly poor season from the club, Bruno Fernandes once again shone through as one of the best players in Europe with his performances for Manchester United.
The Portuguese midfielder notched 15 goals and 13 assists across 43 fixtures in all competitions under Erik ten Hag, often dragging his team out of the mud – especially in the final few months of the campaign.

He captained the side to an FA Cup final win on the final day of the domestic season, reaping some form of hard work for his performances, and is now the face of United’s new rebuild under INEOS, leading the squad into a new era.
However, his fantastic performances have attracted a lot of interest from across the footballing world, and it seems as if he has caught the eye of the Saudi Pro League clubs.
According to Arriyadiyah, who have shown themselves to be a reliable outlet for Saudi Arabian football news, he is wanted by the Saudi Pro League to become a fresh face in their growing competition.
The Saudi Investment Fund reportedly want to bring Bruno Fernandes to the Saudi league and have held discussions on behalf of an undisclosed club for the 29-year-old.
United officials are said to be well aware that the Saudi Investment Fund’s offer for Fernandes might be large and, therefore, difficult to refuse, but they hope to keep the player.
Ten Hag “made it clear” before extending his contract with the club that he would like the club to keep Fernandes at United, having selected him as club captain in 2023.
Bruno Fernandes’ future at United is “not guaranteed” because the potential offer presented to the players and club could be “too good”, but United are planning to keep him at the club and aim to fulfil Ten Hag’s wish.
Fernandes addressed his future at the end of last season, saying that he would like to remain at Old Trafford as long as the club wanted him to stay.
