Man United predicted XI vs Brentford with change as Erik ten Hag prepares for Liverpool
Erik ten Hag is predicted to make an unlikely selection as Manchester United face Brentford, with the Dutch manager looking ahead to Liverpool.
Manchester United have a huge set of fixtures in the next 10 days, with Erik ten Hag‘s men facing Brentford (A), Chelsea (A), and Liverpool (H) all in a row.
These three fixtures could define the remainder of Ten Hag’s second season at the club in the Premier League. The squad will be chasing Champions League places in the final 10 games of the season.

André Onana has started every fixture in goal bar one in the FA Cup—Altay Bayındır was handed his debut—and Onana will start once again on Saturday. However, some surprising selections are expected in the back line in front of him.
With United having no left-back available, many would think that Diogo Dalot would slot in the position, but it is actually more likely that Aaron Wan-Bissaka will take over this role, with Dalot remaining at right-back.
This is for two reasons. One, Wan-Bissaka played admirably in the position two weeks ago against Mohammed Salah, and secondly, with Liverpool coming to Old Trafford again next weekend, Ten Hag will likely want to keep Wan-Bissaka at left back in anticipation of a second round of duels against Salah.
Meanwhile, Raphaël Varane and Jonny Evans are likely to play in the central defensive positions, with Lisandro Martínez and Harry Maguire both facing late fitness tests. Evans will probably start over Victor Lindelöf as he will better anticipate Ivan Toney’s movements.
After a fantastic week with England, Kobbie Mainoo is a doubt for the tie due to illness, meaning it becomes move likely that Mason Mount will start alongside Casemiro, who is reportedly fit to play. Bruno Fernandes will captain the side ahead of him.
The FA Cup win over Liverpool saw Rasmus Højlund return to action, and after spending time with the Denmark national team, he is now fit to start. Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford were both involved in goals that game too, and are expected to start on the right and left wings, respectively.
