Man United starlet releases statement after transfer finally completed, Chido Obi-Martin responds
Manchester United’s newest starlet, Samuel Lusale, has released a statement on social media following his Crystal Palace exit, with Chido Obi-Martin responding.
Manchester United secured the first-team additions of Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee, and Manuel Ugarte during the summer transfer window.
These signings have significantly bolstered Erik ten Hag’s squad, with funds generated from successful player sales helping to support the club’s transfer strategy.
INEOS‘ revamped recruitment team also made impressive strides at the academy level, bringing in several promising young talents.
Samuel Lusale joins Man United
Samuel Lusale is a highly-rated winger from Crystal Palace’s academy and he agreed a deal to sign for the Red Devils.
It has been a long wait for the youngster, whose move has been halted by the Premier League’s ratification progress. Chido Obi-Martin is still undergoing those checks before his move can be made official.
Lusale, 17, is expected to join United’s under-18s side, which is currently unbeaten after a strong start to the season.
Lusale pens farewell message
Now that his move is official, Lusale took to social media to pen an emotional farewell to Palace.
He wrote on Instagram: “My journey with Crystal Palace comes to an end and a new door opens.
“I will always remember the memories I made at Palace, and without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. But now, we move on to the next chapter.”
It was no surprise to see Obi-Martin in the replies to the post. United’s incoming 16-year-old striker responded with an emotional and heart-face emoji.
Both players will be eager to start playing at United, with first-team opportunities aplenty if they can prove themselves throughout the Academy setup.
