Man United star is ‘top of the list’ for European club, expecting £17m price tag to drop
One Manchester United star is at the ‘top of the list’ for a European club who are expecting his £17 million price tag to drop in the coming weeks.
The Reds have decided to stick with manager Erik ten Hag after INEOS conducted an end-of-season review following the FA Cup final win.
Now, they will be looking to improve the first-team squad at Old Trafford, with several key signings already outlined.
Jarrad Branthwaite and Joao Neves are two players who have been heavily linked with a move to United – with different reports stating that the club have tabled bids for both players.
However, importantly, sales will need to occur this summer to generate funds for the desired signings. United are walking a financial tightrope, and players must leave to make room in the budget.
Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood have been labelled as the main players to depart this summer, but Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be another player to leave.
Wan-Bissaka is top of Galatasaray’s list
According to Turkish outlet Sabah, Wan-Bissaka is ‘first choice’ and ‘at the top of the list’ for Galatasaray this summer.
Wan-Bissaka made 30 appearances last term, but most of his starts were due to United’s left-back issues, meaning that Diogo Dalot had to move across to the other flank.
It was also claimed that the potential transfer fee for the 26-year-old defender is £17 million, but the Turkish club are said to be expecting that figure to drop in the coming weeks.
Optimistic or delusional
While Wan-Bissaka is no longer the first-choice option for Erik ten Hag, it seems unreasonable for Galatasary to expect a potential £17 million price tag to drop any further.
United do need sales this summer, but the defender has proven his worth and could be a very good option for many clubs in Europe who would be willing to pay at least £20 million.
