Man United hoping offers arrive for “replaceable” player this summer
Manchester United are hoping that West Ham throw in an offer for Scott McTominay as INEOS look to raise funds for the club this summer.
Scott McTominay was a subject of large interest from West Ham last summer, with the London club reportedly tabling a £25-30 million bid for the midfielder, although the deal was never agreed and ultimately collapsed.
McTominay has since proved himself to be a valuable player to Erik ten Hag at Manchester United this season, sitting as the club’s second-top scorer with eight goals – including multiple winning ones off the bench.

However, according to iSport, United are hoping that West Ham return with another offer in the coming summer transfer window as INEOS view McTominay as “replaceable” at the club.
McTominay is one of several players Sir Jim Ratcliffe will look to move on from this summer. United needs an influx of cash to fund what could be a huge transfer window.
Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood are almost certainly going to leave, with United wanting to raise up to £100 million from their sales while they remain open to offers for Brazilian winger Antony.
Beyond this, there is also the option that United could sell a number of academy graduates, with those such as Hannibal Mejbri, Facundo Pellistri, and Alvaro Fernandez all on loan and very low down in the pecking order.
Who United will sign this summer will likely be dictated by who is managing the club come pre-season, with Ten Hag’s job very much in the balance.
