There has been an early indicator of the Manchester United team news for their FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City on Sunday.

The Reds will travel to Wembley on the weekend with the FA Cup being their final hopes of success for this season.

Erik ten Hag’s side are currently seventh in the Premier League and were knocked out of the Champions League and Carabao Cup at the early stages of those competitions.

Harry Maguire should be fit for the occasion, with Ten Hag also confirming that Antony and Scott McTominay are expected to be back available.

However, it is another player who seems likely to be involved in the squad yet again, with Harry Amass set for his third involvement in the first-team squad.

Amass, 17, made two appearances on the bench in United’s last two games against Liverpool and Bournemouth.

The young left-back has not been involved in either of the Under-21s or Under-18s games this week. He would’ve been expected to play against Tottenham Hotpsur’s U21s team on Saturday afternoon but his absence suggests further first-team involvements.

Amass signed his first professional contract last month when he turned 17 and has been consistently training with the first team since then.

With both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia out injured, it has provided the teenager with valuable opportunities and whilst a debut is unlikely at Wembley, he could make his debut before the end of the season.

It is likely for Ten Hag to continue with Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the left side of defence, with Diogo Dalot on the right side.

However, Amass being in the squad is not simply to fill the numbers and Ten Hag would likely not shy away from using the teenager if needed.

The full squad details will be confirmed around an hour before kick-off (3:30pm, UK time) on Sunday afternoon.
