“It was not certain on Thursday at the press conference that he could play, but he’s fine, good improvement., When he’s fit, he has to play because definitely he will contribute to our levels in the game.”
Despite this optimism, Shaw was once again taken off in place of Victor Lindelöf just before half-time as the club won against Luton Town thanks to two goals from Rasmus Højlund.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Ten Hag said: It wasn’t a knock. I can’t say. We’ll have to wait until at least tomorrow to see what happens.
“It’s clear that when you go out, it’s not is not good.”
Fabrizio Romano has stated that Shaw will undergo tests to assess his injury, and he was spotted limping out of the stadium after the game.
