Louis Saha is not a fan of one piece of Manchester United business and believes it will be a “really bad” transfer.

The Reds signed five first-team players for Erik ten Hag this summer, and many exits also occurred.

Jadon Sancho has joined Chelsea on loan but the London-based club have an obligation to buy the winger next summer.

Speaking to BetFred about the move before it was officially signed, Saha was far from convinced that it was the right move for the player.

“That’s going to be a really bad piece of business, for sure,” he said. “Because it’s really hard to see how it can work due to all the other young attacking players already at Chelsea.

“I don’t see why he would be excited to go there, and I don’t see him going to Chelsea anyway, but I could be wrong.

“There’s still space for him on Manchester United’s team, but the manager may want to sell him.

“I do understand, though, that Jadon’s looking for a solution to find first-team football elsewhere.”

Of course, for United, the deal is quite attractive, considering they wanted to move Sancho out of the squad.

Chelsea will buy the player next summer for around £25 million as long as they finish in the top 14 spots in the Premier League table.

Saha’s opening point is clear, though. With so many attacking young talent, it’s hard to see how Sancho will actually fit in there.

Unfortunately, the 24-year-old’s career has gone far from what was expected when he joined United in the summer of 2021 for a staggering £73 million from Borussia Dortmund.
