Liverpool fans fume at Premier League decision days before Man United clash
Liverpool fans are fuming at the Premier League’s decision to appoint Anthony Taylor for their Manchester United clash at Old Trafford.
Liverpool will be trying to rectify their epic loss against Manchester United at Old Trafford three weeks ago as the two teams face off in the Premier League next Sunday.
However, fans of the Anfield club feel they have been handed a disadvantage ahead of the game, as the Premier League appointed referee Anthony Taylor as the referee.

Taylor was born in Wythenshawe in south Manchester, the same area as the likes of Marcus Rashford and Cole Palmer, and some Liverpool fans are predicting that this will mean he will have a bias towards the home club.
“Isn’t he the ref from Manchester? They don’t even try and hide it anymore,” one fan posted on social media platform X.
“Ridiculous but not unexpected. They [the Premier League] are doing their best, aren’t they,” another added, while a third ironically quipped: “Would that be Greater Manchester’s Anthony Taylor.”
Taylor has long ago pledged his allegiance to non-league club Altrincham despite his birthplace, and he currently resides in Cheshire, which is closer to Liverpool than Manchester.
It seems as if Liverpool fans are already lining up their excuses… queue the music.
