Leny Yoro breaks silence after Manchester United’s bid accepted by Lille
Leny Yoro has broken his silence after Manchester United had a £42 million bid for the defender accepted by Lille.
According to reports from France, United have submitted a “written offer” for Leny Yoro, valued at approximately £42 million plus unspecified bonuses.
Lille are said to have accepted this bid, as it is significantly more appealing than Real Madrid’s, which is not close to being finalised.
However, Yoro’s preferred destination remains the La Liga champions, posing a substantial challenge for United.
Despite this, the club are actively working to persuade the player to swap Ligue 1 for the Premier League.
Other reports indicate that United’s offer could reach up to £50 million, while Real Madrid have made only one official bid of around £17 million.
This has made United’s offer much more attractive to the Ligue 1 club, who are trying to convince the player of a United move for this reason.
In perhaps the strangest way possible, Yoro has broken his silence on the situation to address a fake account on social media.
An account on X attempted to impersonate the 18-year-old and posted that he does not want the United move and for the English club to leave him alone.
In response, Yoro posted: “Fake account. You guys are psycho. Signal this account.”
United clearly see this as a unique opportunity to try and sign an extraordinary talent. Whether or not they can convince him of a move is going to determine the deal.
