Latest team news for Arsenal vs Manchester United: Sancho, Martial and Dalot

Manchester United have several notable absentees ahead of their clash with Arsenal away at the Emirates.

Erik ten Hag spoke has given an update on several key Manchester United players ahead of the match, with the Dutchman ambiguous as to the conditions of Jadon Sancho, Diogo Dalot and Anthony Martial prior to the game on Sunday.

When question about the availability of Martial and Dalot, Erik ten Hag told reporters, “No but of course, it is Wednesday and we have to see if they are fit for a game Sunday.”

Martial was absent from the squad for United’s midweek game against Crystal Palace following his replacement at half time against Manchester City. He and Dalot were not spotted in the travelling squad to London on Saturday afternoon.

Having trained with the first team for the first time since the start of the World Cup in November, Jadon Sancho could feasibly return to the match day squad. However, Ten Hag was also vague in his answers surrounding the winger – Sancho was also not spotted with the squad.

Brazilian midfielder, Casemiro, is confirmed as being unavailable for the trip to the Emirates having picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against Crystal Palace, resulting in a one-match suspension. Long-term absentee Donny van de Beek is not available after undergoing knee surgery.

Arsenal come into the fixture will a squad at almost full-strength, with only Gabriel Jesus and Reiss Nelson ruled out for the home side.

There could be a debut for new signing, Leandro Trossard, who joins for a fee close to £21 million from fellow Premier League side, Brighton.
