Injury updates on Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount given after Manchester United loss
Injury updates on Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount have been given as Manchester United lost 3-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
Manchester United suffered their third defeat of the Premier League season, losing 3-0 to Tottenham Hotspur.
The match began with Spurs taking an early lead through Brennan Johnson, who found the back of the net, while their offensive pressure on André Onana continued throughout the first half.

Things took a turn for the worse for United when Bruno Fernandes was shown a red card just before halftime for a reckless challenge on James Maddison, causing their performance to unravel.
Tottenham quickly doubled their lead early in the second half, and despite United’s best efforts to respond, Spurs capped off their victory with a third goal from Dominic Solanke with 15 minutes left to play.
While a number of points have been raised following the full-time whistle, news that United fans will be eagerly waiting for revolves around the fitness of Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount.
Mainoo was substituted just after the red card with a suspected injury problem, while Mason Mount, who played in the second half, had to go off after sustaining a blow to the head.
Thankfully, Mount has now provided a positive injury update, saying on Instagram: “I’m all good, just a scratch. Thanks for all the messages”.
However, the news surrounding Mainoo is not as bright. According to The Athletic, as he was coming off, Mainoo appeared to express to Casemiro and Antony on the sidelines that he had hurt his hamstring.
Hamstring issues are very common in football, although the length of time they can keep a player out varies greatly.
Rasmus Hojlnd was recently sidelined for just over two months with a hamstring issue, and former United midfielder Paul Pogba was plagued with them during his career at Old Trafford.
“I can’t say in this moment,” Ten Hag told MUTV when asked about the pair last night. “I have to find out but, of course, when a player is coming off before half-time already, then there are some concerns.
“Also, I have seen how Mason came off. He was bleeding so it’s clear there are some problems there and we have to see how they recover in the coming days.”
