Kobbie Mainoo in ‘no rush’ to negotiate new Manchester United contract with international decision made
Kobbie Mainoo’s current Manchester United contract expires in 2027, although the club can extend this by a further year should they wish to.
Kobbie Mainoo has been a shining light for Manchester United since the end of 2023, with the player firmly planting himself within Erik ten Hag‘s first team.
He has been selected for every single one of United’s last 10 fixtures across all competitions and is starting to form a fantastic midfield partnership with Casemiro as the club pick up their recent form.

According to MailOnline, however, Mainoo and his team are in no rush to sign a new contract, despite there being calls for the club to tie Mainoo down for the long-term future.
It is said that the current plan is to let him continue to develop in the first team for the remainder of the season and that there is a “calmness” within his camp surrounding any new deal.
Meanwhile, it has also been said that Mainoo had decided to keep his international options open until later this year despite growing interest from England and Ghana.
According to Graeme Bailey, Southgate is considering calling up Mainoo for England’s upcoming international fixtures next month.
The Three Lions boss and his coaching staff have been making checks on Mainoo and are ‘seriously considering’ including him in the squad to face Brazil and Belgium in late March.
