Manchester United have found a new wave of positive form, with Erik ten Hag’s men winning five of their six games across 2024 so far.

The end of 2023 saw Manchester United sitting dismally towards the middle of the Premier League table, having crashed out of both the Champions League and Carabao Cup across the autumn and winter months.

However, 2024 has brought a new-found light to Erik ten Hag‘s squad, with the side having won both their FA Cup games and three of their four Premier League fixtures, drawing the other.

The new-look United has very much coincided with the entrance of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS after the British billionaire had a 25 per cent stake in Manchester United accepted by the current owners, which is set to be ratified in the coming week.

Beyond this, it has also been revealed that Erik ten Hag’s current training sessions are now geared towards match-related situations in order to get the best out of his players.

According to The Athletic, Erik ten Hag’s current training sessions alongside Mitchell van der Gaag are geared towards creating moves that can be replicated on the pitch.

Ten Hag is also said to have held one-on-one meetings to work through things with players such as Rasmus Højlund, who is now in fine form, having scored in five of United’s six fixtures across 2024.

United have hauled themselves into sixth place in the Premier League, with their sights now firmly set on qualifying for the Champions League next season.
