Jordan Pickford has emerged as a potential transfer target for Manchester United to either challenge or replace David de Gea.

Reports from Saturday evening said that United were aiming to sign the Everton goalkeeper no matter whether De Gea’s contract at Old Trafford is extended or not.

It was also added that the England international is priced at around £30 million.

However, Pickford’s representatives have suggested he is happy at Goodison Park amid the interest from United.

His agency GAA Stellar, who also represent United winger Anthony Elanga, told ElBobbo: “Jordan is very happy at Everton and very settled with his young family. He loves the club and will remain at Everton until we are told otherwise. He is excited to get back for pre-season and help push Everton up the table”

United have been linked to several other goalkeepers so far this window, however.

Diogo Costa of FC Porto is a fan-favourite and is already considered as one of the best goalkeepers in Europe at 23 years of age.

Portuguese reports suggest that United are ‘finalising a proposal’ for the shot-stopper, who has a release clause of around £65 million.
