Jadon Sancho deals Aston Villa permenant contract blow after Unai Emery’s “want him” claim

Jadon Sancho’s future away from Manchester United has been made clearer as he opens the door to another club.

Manchester United currently sit fourth on 48 points in the Premier League, just three points behind third-place Aston Villa, who have recently endured a blip in their form.

After the success of Marcus Rashford’s loan move last season to the Birmingham side, Jadon Sancho also followed suit in the summer with a loan switch to Villa in an attempt to rebuild his career.

Initially, the Englishman struggled to impress or find consistent minutes, but he has wrestled his way into Unai Emery’s plans of late.

With the summer window approaching, the future of Sancho away from Old Trafford should become clearer.

Sancho open door to Dortmund

Links between Sancho and Borussia Dortmund seem to always appear, and with the winger’s contract set to expire in the summer, he may be able to realise his dream return to Germany.

According to Football Insider, the 25-year-old is open to a return to Dortmund, where he made his name initially and also returned following a fall-out with Erik Ten Hag.

However, they will face competition from Villa, which has joined the battle for his signature alongside several Serie A sides.

Unai Emery has recently spoken about the future of Sancho. He said, “He will need another contract, and maybe it could be here. If he plays his best football, we will want him.”

No excuse for a big window

With Sancho set to leave, Casemiro confirmed to go, Rashford, Tyrell Malacia and Andre Onana are also heading towards the exit door, a huge war chest in terms of the wage bill should open up.

Providing the Red Devils also secure UEFA Champions League football, the spending ability of United should be up there with the most in the league.

This makes it more critical that the club spend the money well on key additions to the midfield, winger depth and possibly another left back. There is no excuse for the recruitment staff, provided that qualification for Europe’s biggest competition gives them the war chest we all need.

The likes of Carlos Baleba and Elliot Anderson have both been linked to deals over £70 million, as well as links to young starlets like Mateus Mane. This war chest should be able to cover all of the deals.
