A “huge talent” has completed a deadline day switch to a Premier League side after admitting his “dream” transfer to Manchester United earlier in the window.
Manchester United look set for a busy deadline day, with the focus mainly being put on their outgoings, as opposed to their acquisitions.
Ruben Amorim’s side have already completed three signings this window in the likes of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, and now look set to add a fourth in goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
The main struggle for the Reds ahead of the new Premier League season has been offloading their want-away stars that are no longer in the club’s plans, although this final week has seen a change in fortune.
The Reds are now finished with their attacking incomings, meanwhile, one “huge talent” has completed a move to Premier League opposition, despite admitting a dream move to United.
6ft6 monster completes Wolves transfer
Wolves have now added 6ft6in striker Tolu Arokodare to their ranks ahead of the transfer deadline, in a £24 million deal, as reported by The Athletic.
Arokodare was previously linked with a move to United, with Jason Wilcox deeming the Nigerian a “huge talent”, although nothing came to fruition regarding a deal.
In June, transfer insider Graeme Bailey said, via UtdDistrict, that, “He is a huge talent, in every way,” although the Reds ended up deciding on a move for Sesko.
The giant forward scored 23 goals across all competitions last season, whilst providing seven assists, so it will be interesting to see what he can bring to the league.
Arokodare’s dream United move
As reported by The Metro, via UtdDistrict, the 24-year-old striker is a boyhood United fan, and admitted that a move to the Red Devils would be a “dream”.
“Obviously, it’s a dream to play in the Premier League, but I have my eyes on it for sure,’ he said. “Whatever options I have, I’ll take my time and make the best decision.
“I’m a Manchester United fan, and if it happens, it would mean a lot to me and my family.”
Arokodare has now made his move to the Premier League, which will allow United to keep tabs on what the Nigerian powerhouse achieves in the coming seasons.
