Højlund, Rashford – Man United early injury news vs Everton (Premier League)
Manchester United have been handed two injury updates as Erik ten Hag’s men prepare to face Everton in the Premier League.
After back-to-back Premier League losses against Fulham and Manchester City, Manchester United are looking to get back on track in 2024 as they continue to chase Champions League places.
Erik ten Hag‘s men sit 11 points behind Aston Villa, who are in fourth place, and with 11 games left in the season, the chances of reaching the Champions League places are slim but not impossible.

The two losses have coincided with Rasmus Højlund’s minor injury that has kept him out of the club’s last three games, although there has been a positive update. According to reports, United are set to assess him later this week and hopefully deem the Danish international fit to play against Everton on Saturday.
It was also clarified that although Rashford had played the Derby with a knock to his rib, he is not expected to be a doubt.
Elsewhere, United are still without up to seven other players for the game, with the fitness and returns of many still relatively ambiguous.
Harry Maguire’s fitness remains unknown after he missed fixtures against Nottingham Forest and City last week, with Erik ten Hag expected to give an update on his fitness during his pre-match press conference on Friday.
There may also be an update on Tyrell Malacia, who is set to return to training on grass either this or next week following multiple knee surgeries.
Lisandro Martínez and Anthony Martial are both expected to be out until the beginning of April, while Mason Mount and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will remain sidelined with unconfirmed leg problems.
Ten Hag revealed last weekend that Jonny Evans faced Man City with an injury and admitted that he is not yet sure if the defender is available to face Everton.
