Erik ten Hag is reported to be ‘angry’ that his desire to sign Declan Rice for Manchester United has been scuppered by the delayed takeover process.
The most significant news surrounding Manchester United in 2023, and especially in the last two months, is the pending sale of the club by the Glazer family.
a multiple-month-long battle has seen Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim submit nine bids between the pair, with the Qatari businessman said to be the current favourite for a full club takeover.

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag has been busy assessing his current squad and the current transfer market, figuring out where to best apply upgrades to his squad.
One area that has been documented as a key section that needs to be identified is the midfield – with Ten Hag interested in signing Mason Mount and Declan Rice.
However, with the takeover process being constantly delayed with the Glazer family refusing to pick a preferred bidder, Erik ten Hag is said to be ‘angry’ at the fact that this is preventing the club from throwing their name in the hat for Rice’s signature.
This is according to Alan Nixon of The Sun, who claims that Ten Hag feels the West Ham captain would be a ‘perfect addition’ and has been desperate to make an offer.
Arsenal are currently the favourites to sign Rice this summer but are unwilling to meet West Ham’s reported £100 million valuation.
