Gary Neville admits one reason why Manchester United may sack Erik ten Hag THIS week
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has admitted that he feels there is one reason why Erik ten Hag may be sacked from the club this week.
Erik ten Hag is under high levels of scrutiny after a 2-1 loss against West Ham as his Manchester United side prepare for an intense winter schedule.
The side currently sit 14th in the Premier League table and are languishing in the Europa League, with consistently poor results increasing pressure on the Dutch manager.

After the club’s powerbrokers chose to keep him in his job following a brilliant FA Cup final victory over Manchester City, many are wondering if this was the wrong decision considering the club’s current mess.
This week, Ten Hag will manage his side against Leicester in the FA Cup before they welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford in the Premier League.
Gary Neville’s sack verdict
Speaking on his Sky Sports podcast, former United defender Gary Neville has revealed that, if United lose to Chelsea this coming weekend, that may spell the end for Ten Hag.
“Erik ten Hag is asking for trouble,” Neville said. “He’s 14th in the league nine games in, and nine games is nearly 25 per cent of the season gone.
“It will be a big worry for everybody at the club because the performance levels… United should have been up but they lost.
“They are 14th, they’ve spent a fortune. I was quite clear at the end of last season that if they’re in that same position in the league after the first few months there will be a lot of questions being asked.
“They’ve got a game in midweek but it will all come down to next weekend’s game against Chelsea.
“Anybody that is half decent, that can play, have the quality in parts of the pitch, can beat this United team and they’re in danger.
“I don’t think there can be another defeat next weekend at Old Trafford. It’s getting to that point where there is a real worry, I’m worried. The results, the lack of goals, lack of performances are stacking up week after week.”
