Antony returned to Manchester United training on Saturday and was at Old Trafford to watch his teammates lose 1-0 against Crystal Palace.

The Brazilian winger has been absent from games since he jetted off for the September international break only to be dropped from Tite’s squad before the games due to the allegations against his name.

United granted the 23-year-old a leave of absence to focus on the domestic abuse allegations made by his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin and two other women.

Antony returned to England on Tuesday and reports stated that he voluntarily attended an interview with police in Manchester on Thursday. Whilst the investigations remain ongoing, United decided to reintroduce him to the squad with no charges of an offence in England or Brazil.

Gabriela Cavallin, Antony’s accuser and ex-girlfriend, has broken her silence on the footballer’s return to United training.

A press release, as reported by the Daily Mail, reads: “Gabrela Cavallin’s attorneys inform that the crimes committed by the player are still being investigated by the Manchester Police and also the Brazilian Police, which is why we believe that he will soon be sent to Court, where he will have to face a trial.

“It seems obvious to us that fallacies would be created with the intention that the team bringing him back to training.”

Antony has denied all allegations made and has stated in a Brazilian interview that the truth ‘will come out’.

He will be available for selection in United’s upcoming Champions League clash against Galatasaray on Tuesday evening but was not available for the loss against Crystal Palace.
