Fabrizio Romano has provided a blockbuster update regarding a 19-year-old wonder-kid who Manchester United have been linked with.
After a summer which saw Manchester United invest heavily in their attacking department, the Reds have started to reap the rewards for their investments.
It was a tough start to the new Premier League campaign for Ruben Amorim’s side, but recent victories over Chelsea, Sunderland, and now Liverpool have seen them climb up the table.
Goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire saw the Reds leave Anfield victorious on Sunday afternoon, which has left them sitting eighth in the league table.
Despite their recent investments in their forward line, the Reds are still being linked with one particular attacking talent, who is expected to leave his current side in the January window.
Romano gives Endrick update
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Endrick is expected to leave Real Madrid during the winter transfer window due to a lack of minutes at the start of this campaign.
Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report from Caught Offside claiming that United were among the clubs eyeing a potential move for the unhappy Brazilian striker, who has been left on the bench for six successive fixtures.
With the World Cup fast approaching, the 19-year-old forward is desperate for some more game time, as he hopes to make a bid to his former club manager, Carlo Ancelotti, as to why he should be in his plans.
The Reds may allow Joshua Zirkzee to leave the club in January, due to his lack of involvement at the start of the new season, which could allow room for Endrick, especially on a loan deal.
A club to watch out for in the coming months may be West Ham United, as, according to TalkSPORT, the Hammers are considering paying the £70k-per-week wages of Endrick on loan, as well as considering a move for Zirkzee.
United’s attacking arsenal
Despite struggling for game time under Xabi Alonso, it is clear to the masses that Endrick has a lot of talent to work with and may just need a fresh start to realise his potential.
The difficulty for United, if this move were to come to fruition, is that it may not have much upside for the Reds, especially if it is only on a loan basis.
It seems with this deal that, if it is on a loan basis, then United will only be developing a player for another team’s benefit, whereas if it is permanent, then it may block the pathway for a player such as Chido Obi.
It will be interesting to see if there are any new developments regarding this transfer rumour in the coming months, but Manchester seems like an unlikely destination for Madrid’s £61 million teenager.
