Fabrizio Romano has clarified a false report about one Manchester United player this summer, which is a huge boost for the club.

The Reds are looking to bring in several players to boost Erik ten Hag’s squad this summer and have already been in discussions with representatives of multiple targets.

However, on the other hand, United must sell several players for respectable fees if they are to maximise the effectiveness of the transfer window.

INEOS are walking on a financial tightrope after the Old Trafford club’s recent activity in prior transfer windows.

This made the recent rumours that a move to the Saudi Pro League was off for Casemiro a worrying development.

The Brazilian is set to leave the club this summer and Saudi teams seemed to be the best option so that United could still receive a respectable fee for the 32-year-old.

European journalist Christopher Michel had reported: “Casemiro’s transfer to Saudi Arabia fell through a few days ago. Negotiations were at an advanced stage, but it didn’t work out.”

There are also issues surrounding potential sales of Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho. United need to sell these players to free space up for additions.

Thankfully, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has clarified that these rumours are not true and that the United midfielder is still keen on moving to the quickly growing league as long as it is the right conditions for him.

Speaking to The United Stand, the Italian journalist said: “No, it’s not true from what I’m hearing [that the deal is off]. Casemiro is keen on joining Saudi, but it has to be on his conditions.

“The conversation is still ongoing there, from what I’m hearing. Casemiro will accept as soon as he decides these are the right conditions for the move.”

Casemiro has played 83 times for United since his move from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022.

While United fans appreciate the impact the Brazilian made during that first season at Old Trafford, it is a huge boost that a potential move to Saudi Arabia is still on, with United in desperate need of improving their financial situation.
