Fabrizio Romano believes one Man United player will leave after Ruben Amorim ‘intensity’ message
Fabrizio Romano believes that one Manchester United player will leave the club following Ruben Amorim’s ‘intensity’ message.
Ruben Amorim arrived at Manchester United on Monday afternoon to officially begin his role as head coach at Old Trafford.
At the Carrington training complex, he was welcomed by Omar Berrada, Jason Wilcox, and Dan Ashworth, who oversee the club’s football operations.
Amorim’s first match is set for two weeks from now against Ipswich Town in the Premier League, giving him valuable preparation time behind the scenes.
Fabrizio Romano revealed that Ruben Amorim has indicated to the decision makers at United that he needs them to sign players with the right intensity levels.
“What I can tell you, on the market is that from what I’m hearing is the first indication from Ruben Amorim to Manchester United directors and management is that we need to bring players with intensity,” Romano said in his latest YouTube video.
“These were the crucial words he mentioned in the opening talks and meetings with Manchester United and they are going in that direction.”
While there are certain players at Old Trafford who will offer this–such as Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho–there are others who may not suit Amorim’s vision.
In fact, Romano believes that Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen will be allowed to depart next summer due to this approach.
“For example, I don’t think that Christian Eriksen will continue at Manchester United under Amorim beyond this season,” he added.
“And this is going to be the direction at the club with the new coach.”
