Every player Manchester United have signed in the 2025 transfer window as Rúben Amorim embarks on the most ambitious rebuild of the club since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
Manchester United’s 2025 summer transfer window is seeing Rúben Amorim’s club make many changes to the head coach’s first team.
While it’s expected that several young players, such as Chido Obi, Tyler Fredricson, and Ayden Heaven, will have increased involvement in Amorim’s squad next season, there will also be a major overhaul that could see a significant changing of the guard this summer.
It is the first summer transfer window since United appointed Amorim as head coach, Jason Wilcox as technical director, Omar Berrada as CEO, and Christopher Vivall as director of recruitment, all to their respective positions.
This page will be updated with the full details of every signing Manchester United make across the 2025 summer transfer window as soon as news filters through.
Matheus Cunha
Signed from: Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of £62.5 million.
Contract length: Five-year contract until 2030 with an option for a one-year extension.
Key information: United confirmed on 1 July that they had reached an agreement to sign Cunha, with the official transfer being announced two weeks later.
What the player said: “It is hard to put into words my feelings about becoming a Manchester United player,” Cunha told the club. “I can’t wait for the start of pre-season to get to know my team-mates and prepare for the season ahead. All my focus is now on working hard to become a valuable part of the team, and helping get this club back to the top.”
Harley Emsden-James
Signed from: Southampton for a fee of around £1 million plus bonuses.
Contract length: He will not have signed a professional contract yet, but will be expected to sign one once he turns 17 on March 13 2026.
Key information: Emsden-James joins Manchester United as part of Jason Wilcox’s larger plan to add high-level talent into the club’s Academy ranks and help fast-track them to the first team.
What has been said: “United are keen to identify and recruit the country’s most talented young players, and see Southampton’s Emsden James as being firmly in that bracket,” AcademyScoop, who broke the story, detailed.
Diego Leon
Signed from: Cerro Porteño in Paraguay for £3.2 million, rising to £7 million with add-ons
Contract length: Leon has signed a five-year contract with United, with the club retaining the right to extend this for a further season.
Key information: Leon is an energetic and bullish left-back who will act as a back-up left wing-back to Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu.
What the player said: “Everyone thinks I’ll go out on loan, but I don’t have that mentality,” Leon said prior to flying to Manchester. “I’m going to kill it in pre-season, and in one or two games I’ll be playing with them.”
Enzo Kana-Biyik

Contract length: 18-year-old Kana-Biyik has signed a five-year contract with United, with the club retaining the right to extend this for a further season.
Key information: Kana-Biyik will spend next season on loan at Swiss Super League side, Lausanne-Sport.

Signed from: Premier League club Brentford for £65 million, rising to £71 million with add-ons.
Contract length: Mbeumo has signed a five-year contract with United, with the club retaining the right to extend this for a further season.
Key information: Mbeumo scored 20 Premier League goals last season and will be one-third of a new-look front three at Old Trafford.

Who else could United sign this summer?
With the transfer window kicking off on 1 June, United are also hoping to bring in multiple attacking and midfield signings in the first few weeks of the window.
With the first-team signings of Cunha, Leon, and Mbeumo now complete, reports suggest that the club are now focusing on bringing in a new striker and goalkeeper, with a midfielder also possible.
After missing out on first-choice centre-forward target Liam Delap, United have been linked with Ollie Watkins, Benjamin Šeško, and Nicolas Jackson for the position. At the same time, Senne Lemmans is a concrete target in goal.
As for sales, Marcus Rashford has completed a season-long loan move to Barcelona, while Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia will be moved on.
